Container shipping is all about maximizing the yield of transported containers. SEALYTIX focuses primarily on the real value of stowage algorithms, which is to increase yield of sales and not just support stowage planning. The key problem for carriers is that applied revenue management methods ignore that container vessels are complex inventories due to many interacting stowage rules and safety requirements. Our solution is to introduce accurate capacity models by simulating the uptake of vessels with stowage algorithms and set sales targets and bid prices that maximize the yield of transported containers.

SEALYTIX is a Danish R&D company in the maritime cluster developing advanced optimization and data analytics software. The main expertise of SEALYTIX is optimization algorithms for automated stowage optimization and integrated uptake management. 



Since the foundation of SEALYTIX in 2019, its current employees have gathered 50+ man years of extensive domain knowledge in the field of optimization and AI algorithms for the container liner industry. This unique knowledge is vital for our common target - maximization of yield.


Felix has 10+ years of experience in the maritime industry reaching from positions as a ship management assistant at Peter Döhle Group, a Germany based shipping company, to a business development manager at IS Seacos Asia, a formerly Singapore based software supply house to the maritime industry.

Felix Gärtner


Rune has 15+ years of experience in research and development of automated stowage optimization software. He has a PhD in Computer Science and has since 2005 focused his research on stowage planning at the IT University of Copenhagen in close cooperation with key software houses in the maritime industry.

Rainer has 30+ years of experience in software engineering on various client and web platforms working at Seacos, INTERSCHALT and NAVIS. The majority of his career he developed advanced maritime applications being the key architect behind the well known Macs3 loading computer and STOWMAN.

The vessel operation, cargo flow and service network management form a triangle of the challenge of maximum utilization of the fleet capacity. This capacity challenge affects negatively the optimal utilization in terms of operational yield. It is at the same time hindering an integrated value chain of a container line. CEUSS is the first maritime decision support system that maximizes ope-rational yield of container lines. It stands for Computation Engine for Uptake Stowage Simulation. CEUSS consolidates data and domain knowledge of all operational key disciplines along the highly decoupled value chain of a container line.

Two key disciplines are Uptake Management (revenue generation) and Stowage Coordination (value creation). The intersection of these disciplines is CEUSS' place of action. CEUSS provides a continuous improvement process.

From historic booking and stowage data CEUSS provides mid- and short-term commercial decision support to improve the yield of transported cargo. Mid-term CEUSS provides insights on how to adjust cargo mix originated from frame term contracts with key accounts. In day to day sales, CEUSS provides guidance to accept bookings for the best cargomix in the spot market. 

Since CEUSS uses stowage simulation, it validates that the cargo fits on your vessels. Moreover, it provides stowage plans with higher utilization of your fleet.
